Why isn’t HR changing fast enough to keep up with today’s VUCA world?

HR professionals need to develop a set of skills that goes beyond the abilities required for running purely administrative tasks. After more than 30 years operating in the HR and OD field, I have to say that I am still coming across organisations where HR is still seen as a mere admin function, handling payroll, compensation and benefits and disciplinary actions.

One of our obsessions at SB&A is exactly this: helping HR professionals develop their skills and become humane, effective internal consultants capable of reading the business and partnering with organisational Leaders to leverage on the synergies between People and Business.
